A Silhouette Reclaimed
The oversized blazer carries more than proportion. It carries history.
For generations, tailoring belonged largely to the masculine wardrobe. The jacket represented authority, profession and presence. As women entered spaces once reserved for men, they began to make its codes their own.
From the early tailored silhouettes of the twentieth century to the women who wore menswear defiantly in the 1930s, and later the power dressing of the 1970s and 1980s, the blazer became something more than borrowed clothing. It became a symbol of independence.
And eventually, something changed.
The jacket no longer needed to be reduced, softened or reshaped simply because it was worn by a woman. Its masculine proportions could remain. Shoulders could be broader. The body could disappear slightly beneath the structure. Volume itself became part of the elegance.
That tension is what inspired the Maison Cycas d'Or Oversized Blazer line.
We preserve the generosity of the original silhouette and reinterpret it in leather: substantial, architectural and deliberately oversized. Worn by a woman, its proportions create a different kind of femininity, one that does not depend on revealing the body to establish presence.
It is a silhouette inherited from menswear, transformed through generations of women who chose to wear it on their own terms.

Ylisuuri bleiseri kantaa enemmän kuin vain mittasuhteita. Se kantaa historiaa.
Sukupolvien ajan räätälöinti kuului pääasiassa maskuliiniseen vaatekaappiin. Takki edusti auktoriteettia, ammattia ja läsnäoloa. Naisten astuessa tiloihin, jotka olivat aikaisemmin varattu miehille, he alkoivat omaksua sen merkitykset omikseen.
Varhaisista 1900-luvun räätälöidyistä silueteista 1930-luvulla miesten vaatteita ylpeästi käyttäneisiin naisiin ja myöhemmin 1970- ja 1980-lukujen voimapukeutumiseen, bleiseristä tuli enemmän kuin lainattu vaatekappale. Siitä tuli itsenäisyyden symboli.

Tuo jännite innoitti Maison Cycas d'Or Ylisuuri Bleiseri -malliston.
Säilytämme alkuperäisen siluetin anteliaisuuden ja tulkitsimme sen uudelleen nahkaisena: tukevana, arkkitehtonisena ja tarkoituksella ylisuurina. Naisen päällä sen mittasuhteet luovat erilaisen feminiinisuuden, joka ei perustu kehon paljastamiseen läsnäolon luomiseksi.
Se on siluetti, joka on peräisin miesten vaatetuksesta, muokattu naisten sukupolvien toimesta, jotka valitsivat käyttää sitä omilla ehdoillaan.
